I've been a netizen since childhood, having been given full access to the internet for the first time around 2008. In those early days I spent my time browsing art sites like deviantART and watching speedpaints or AMVs on YouTube, gaining inspiration from early internet artists to draw sparkledogs, anime girls and Warriors OCs.
As times changed, so did my influences, and I eventually found myself pretty deep in the Creepypasta community on dA and tumblr starting when I was 11. I was enthralled by internet horror media by the likes of Marble Hornets and (unfortunately) TribeTwelve, along with the horror/grotesque media I had already absorbed in my real life thanks to my father's poor choices in movies (I don't think 12 year old me should have been shown The Human Centipede, but hey, what do I know?). Along with horror movies, sci-fi media such as Star Trek, Aliens and The Predator were always on the TV for my young brain to soak up.
